Understanding Your Insurance Coverage
Some insurance companies cover acupuncture. Our clinic participates with several insurance programs, which may pay a percentage of the treatment. Herbal medicine and products are not covered by insurance and therefore always require out of pocket payment.
Calling your insurance company will provide you with the most comprehensive information on covered services, copayments, deducible and number of allowed visits per year. If we are providers in your network, we will bill your insurance company directly. If we are not providers, we will provide you with a detailed receipt that provides the codes you need to submit for reimbursement.
If your insurance company does not provide coverage, we will work with you to ensure your health comes first. If you have a question, please do not hesitate to call 301-530-5308.
