Some women with ovarian cancer turn toward the whole-body approach of complementary therapy to enhance their fight against the disease, as well as to relieve stress and minimize side effects such as fatigue, pain and nausea. Complementary therapies are diverse practices and products that are used in conjunction with conventional medicine. Many women have tried and benefited from the following complementary therapies.” (Source http://www.ovarian.org/treatment_options.php)

The published research– due to the late onset of diagnosis, clinical acupuncture trials have not been done in ovarian cancer patients, but as we know from our past blogs covering cancer the research shows that acupuncture is an effective tool in combating the side effects of chemotherapy, reducing fatigue, and calming anxiety.

At Wildwood Acupuncture Center–we are a family owned medically based clinic who will work in collaboration with other treatments you are receiving to enhance your treatment results.
