Since our clinic was first established in 1986, we have been instrumental in bringing acupuncture into mainstream medicine. I served as the first Clinical Consultant on Acupuncture at the National Institutes of Health and was a member of the advisory committee for the Department of Health and Human Services. Since then, my participation as a Commissioner for the White House Commission on Complementary and Alternative Medicine Policy has helped lead more and more insurance companies to cover acupuncture. – Xiaoming Tian, L.Ac., CMD
