Did you know we take health insurance?
We have both in-network and out-of-network providers to treat patients and accept CareFirst BlueCross BlueShield, Cigna, Aetna, and United Health care insurance.
Whether you are using in-network or out-of-network benefits for acupuncture, we help you manage your claims. When using in-network benefits, patients are only responsible for what their insurance asks them to pay. We will explain the details case by case based upon your insurance during your visit.
As a courtesy, we take the hassle out of using your insurance by verifying your benefits and submitting claims on your behalf. Since insurance plans vary, please call our office with your specific insurance information if you have further questions.
Herbal medicine and remedies are considered dietary supplements and therefore are not covered by insurance and require out-of-pocket payment.
Calling your insurance company and asking about acupuncture benefits performed by a licensed acupuncturist will provide you with the most comprehensive information on covered services, co-payments, deductible and number of allowed visits per year. We will bill your insurance company directly and submit the claims on your behalf.
If your insurance company does not provide coverage, we will work with you to ensure your health comes first. If you have a question, please do not hesitate to call (301) 530-5308.
Financial Responsibilities
We are legally obligated to collect all applicable co-payments, co-insurance, deductibles, and bill for all services.
Payments Accepted:
For your convenience, we accept Master Card, Visa, check and cash.
Flexible Spending Accounts:
Most employer flexible spending accounts allow you to use funds for ancillary holistic services. Check with your employer.
Motor Vehicle Accidents & Personal Injury Protection:
If you’ve been involved in an automobile accident and have PIP coverage (Personal Injury Protection), we will accept that insurance with the following conditions: You must have the insurance carrier name, phone number and claims address, the claim number and the date of the accident, and the claims adjustor’s name and phone number. If your PIP is exhausted, we will bill your health insurance directly. Remember that if you have an HMO that requires referrals, you must obtain valid referrals for all visits in case the PIP carrier denies coverage and we need to file the claim with your health insurance. We do not bill attorneys and we do not sign Authorization and Assignment for liability cases.
Please call the office at (301) 530-5308 for further instructions on how to receive care at Wildwood Acupuncture Center.
