Huan Wang Tian is a licensed acupuncturist certified by the Maryland Department of Health Board of Acupuncture, whose healing approach blends the principles of Eastern and Western medicine. She holds a master’s degree in Acupuncture from the Virginia University of Integrative Medicine and is currently pursuing her Doctor of Acupuncture degree. Her passion for Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) deepened after marrying Thomas Tian, L.Ac., a second-generation doctor specializing in acupuncture and herbal medicine. This partnership has further strengthened her commitment to TCM.
Huan has been a dedicated member of the Wildwood Acupuncture Center for eight years, where she has had the valuable opportunity to learn from Dr. Xiaoming Tian, CMD, LAc. Under Dr. Tian’s expert mentorship, she has learned to effectively manage a wide range of complex and painful conditions. Huan is proficient in a variety of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) techniques, including acupuncture, electro-acupuncture, auricular acupuncture, cupping therapy, and herbal medicine. She customizes her treatment plans to meet each patient’s unique needs, offering not just therapeutic relief, but a holistic, personalized approach to healing.
Before pursuing this path, Huan completed her undergraduate studies at the Peking University Health Science Center. She worked for ten years as a general practitioner nurse at a prestigious Beijing hospital. Her compassionate care during this time shaped her understanding of medicine and sparked her interest in the ancient wisdom of TCM.
Outside of her practice, Huan enjoys spending time in nature, tending to her garden, and caring for her dog and koi fish. She is also a dedicated practitioner of Qigong and Tai Chi, drawing balance and inspiration from these ancient practices to enrich both her healing work and daily life.
